Pretty Pictures: Mike Bailey Gates

I found out about Mike Bailey-Gates a couple years ago.
His pictures are really magical.
They are incredibly dream like.
These pictures are only the beginning.
I could, and do, look at his photographs for hours.
Especially the ones with the plane like on the intro to his website.
Ugh, AMAZING!
Check it out.

Getting To Know Me

What is your theme song?
"Beautiful Things Can Come From The Dark" by Azure Ray

If you could go anywhere in the world,  free of cost, where would you go?

If you were stranded on an island what three things would you want with you?
Lodging, SPF, bug spray!  (Bugs love me & I hate them!)

How would you describe your personal style?
Mostly dresses with sweaters and leggings/tights.  Lots of black and pops of bright color.
Fun accessories.  Eyeliner.  Caffeinated boho?  LOL.

What is your biggest fear?
Fear itself.

Winter, spring, summer or fall?
All you have to do is call and I'll be there, you've got a friend.  :)
I really love fall!

What color are you?
Definitely purple.

What is your favorite hobby?
Music.  Shopping.

If you could spend a day with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?
I'm going to have to say Johnny Cash.  And June.  LEGENDARY.

What's the last album you bought?  What else is on your iPod right now?
Jenny & Johnny's "I'm Having Fun Now".  White Stripes, Karen Elson, Conor Oberst

What influences your style?
Everything.  The packaging on products.  The colors I see around me.
Blogs.  Music.  My friends & how they style things.  What kind of day I'm having.
I have even been known to match my outfits to my drinks, randomly.
I didn't know I did that until Heather pointed it out.  WEIRD!

What designers are you inspired by?
JEFFREY SEBELIA, VICTOIRE DE CASTELLANE (DIOR FINE JEWELRY)
VERAMEAT (JEWELRY)
Lovely Dior Ring.  It's beautiful right?
&
On the other side of the spectrum...
Love this Dino Eating Fried Chicken ring from Verameat!

Wishing they were still together.

Ten Rules for Being Human
by Cherie Carter-Scott
  1. You will receive a body. You may like it or hate it, but it's yours to keep for the entire period
  2. You will learn lessons. You are enrolled in a full-time informal school called, "life."
  3. There are no mistakes, only lessons. Growth is a process of trial, error, and experimentation. The "failed" experiments are as much a part of the process as the experiments that ultimately "work."
  4. Lessons are repeated until they are learned. A lesson will be presented to you in various forms until you have learned it. When you have learned it, you can go on to the next lesson.
  5. Learning lessons does not end. There's no part of life that doesn't contain its lessons. If you're alive, that means there are still lessons to be learned.
  6. "There" is no better a place than "here." When your "there" has become a "here", you will simply obtain another "there" that will again look better than "here."
  7. Other people are merely mirrors of you. You cannot love or hate something about another person unless it reflects to you something you love or hate about yourself.
  8. What you make of your life is up to you. You have all the tool and resources you need. What you do with them is up to you. The choice is yours.
  9. Your answers lie within you. The answers to life's questions lie within you. All you have to do is look.
  10. You will forget all this.
